巻末に用語と該当するページが記されてるので、西洋占星術を
行う上での辞書的なものとして使うのが妥当だと思われます。

本書だけでは占うことはできません。別の手段で
ホロスコープを作成する必要があります。手っ取り早く
西洋占星術を行うという意味では本書は向きません。

本書は西洋占星術に関する様々な理論が記されています。
ゆえに占術の「結果」だけでは物足りず、何故そうなったかという
「理由」を求める上では良書といえます。

分厚くてどうしようと思いましたが、基本さえ分かっていれば理解可能です。
細かく丁寧に書かれており、木星はラッキー土星はアンラッキーなどという短絡的な解釈ではなく、どの星でもどのハウスでもいい面悪い面あるということがかかれてあります。

基礎を鏡リュウジさんの「星のワークブック」で、その後この本で勉強すればプロレベルとはいいませんが、どこぞのプロになれますという占い師の講座よりは何十倍ためになる本です。

占いの教室や講座は法外な値段で中身がないことが多いので松村先生の本だとハズレがなく独学できます。

お金に汚くて搾取しようとする占い師が多い中、本物の知識を持って研究していらっしゃる姿は安心できます。

特にあらたに占星術に興味を持つ人にとって、基本的な内容をきちんと押さえられる意味でとても有意義です。この本から出発して、松村さん独自の世界感に触れる他の著書も手にしてみると、より理解が深まると思います。

基本といっても、「分からない点は何度も読み直してほしい」（あとがきより）と筆者もいっているように、内容を咀嚼し自分のものにするには時間がかかりますから、覚えのある人も分からない時に立ち返ることができる教科書のようなものでは？
