目次にもあるように上巻は静学。
つまり、数学的にそんなに難しくない（数I・IIの知識があれば十分、もちろんなくても大丈夫）。
数学嫌いの人は文章だけでもとりあえず読んでみて。
私は高校時代ろくに数学勉強しませんでしたが、この本は理解できた！
もちろん数学的な記述が並ぶ箇所もあるが、それを乗り越えて経済モデルが理解できたときの喜びは…

あと練習問題の答えは原著にはあるので、英語を読むのが苦にならない人、懐具合に余裕がある人は購入してみては。

経済学を学ぶ人にとって数学から逃げるのは困難。だめだといってやらずにおくことはできない。数学が苦手な人でも経済学に必要な分野に限定してあるため、マクロやミクロとの関連で勉強がしやすい。しかし基礎というわりには、ある程度の数学知識が必要なような・・・。
ともあれ、早いうちに勉強をするのには優れた本であると思う。

基礎が大事！！！！！！！

　この本は、章ごとに「その章の内容の説明」「具体例」「練習問題」という構成になっているが、読んだ感じでは説明部分が必ずしもわかりやすいとは思わなかった。ただし具体例が豊富なので、他の書物で勉強した部分でわかりづらい、具体例を知りたいと思ったときにこの本を参考に読むには良いと思う。
　練習問題の解答が一切無いのもやや不満なところです。
