私の母がシェーグレン症候群と診断されて、この本を求めました。一般には知名度が低くて解説書のほとんどない中で、この病気について正しい知識が得られる貴重な本です。シェーグレン症候群は自己免疫疾患のひとつで主症状は咽や目の激しい渇きです。現代の医学では完治できません。また予後の動向によっては生命にかかわる危険性もあります。ひどく不快な症状とともに暮らさなければならず、将来にも不安をかかえる患者や、また一緒に暮らす家族にとって正しい知識は不可欠です。この本はわかりにくくて診断のつきにくい（著者自身も10年も誤った治療を続けていた）この病気について多くの情報を与えてくれるだけでなく、患者の立場のやさしさにあふれています。是非母にこの本を読むようにすすめようと思います。
