例文からいくと、１９８０年代中頃~９０年代末に
受験生だった世代を狙い撃ちしています。
ネタとして買いましたが、「受験用単語帳」と謳ったもので、
最後まで読んだのは初めてでした。
絶対に企画の勝利と思います。
でも内容は他のレビュアーが書いてあるとおり、まともです。
派生語などきちんとフォローしてありますし、

基礎レベル単語は抜いてますので、意外とレベル高めです。
とはいえ、「例文のために、この単語使ってるとしか思えない」
（でも面白いからＯＫ！）というモノも混じってますので、
あくまでも「大きなお友達のための」単語集です。はい。

「知識をつけるため」の単語集が受験生向けとすれば、
「無用の知識を確かめるため」の単語集が

この本と言えるでしょう。要は素人向けではありません。
（例文で笑った回数の多さとオタク度の濃さは比例？）

個人的には”expect”の例文に星５個を謹呈します。

表紙だけで判断せずに、まずは例文を読んでみましょう。
裏表紙に工夫がありますので、通勤電車でも読めます。
（この表現をした時点で読者層が受験生でないことが・・・）

続編にも期待しましょう。

私は在日米軍の従業員なのですが、休憩時間にページを繰りながら語彙を増やすために例文を口に出します。
同僚のアメリカ人に大ウケです。
若い者は笑いが止まらず、私のもえたんを読み進めて苦しんでいました。
たしかに学生さんの学習には疑問ですが、社会人の予備学習には楽しめるものです。

私は中学二年生ですが、十分理解できました。
勉強の息抜きにグッドです。
買う時は辛かったですけどね……（苦笑）
カバーは折り目を折り返して裏返しにしておきましょう。
「選ばれた受験生のためのハイブリッド英単語集」と書かれた、
いかにも真面目そうなタイトルが発現いたしますので（爆笑）。
ぜひ買ってみてください。
