中立的な視点から色盲色弱の基礎的な説明、各種治療法、その有効性などについて書かれています。部分的に精神論的な記述もありますが、個人的に気にならないレベルでした。

ところで、私自身重度の色弱でした。そして和同会において通電療法を経験し一定の有効性を身を持って確認しました。現在、通電治療について向かい風の状況となってます。私にはそれは、眼科医学会や朝日新聞社そして和同会に通院していた患者の一部の反発から作られたものに見えます。ただし、それを招いたのは和同会の姿勢であると思います。私自身、上述したように治療の有効性を認めながらも、あそこは好きになれませんでした。
通電治療が正当な評価を取り戻し、その技術が和同会に占有されず、広く一般に容易に利用可能となる日が来る事を心より望みます。
