昔、TOEFLを教えてもらっていたアメリカ人教師が言うには、テスト関連はオフィシャル本の過去問で勉強すべきだそうです。なぜかというと、他の出版社が出している対策本には余計なことが含まれていたり、傾向が外れていたりすることが多いからだそう。そんなものを当てにしてはいけない、と長年TOEFLを研究してきた彼の言うことですから、信頼性が高そうです。そして、今回TOEICを受ける際にこれを買って勉強しましたが、彼の言ったことの先入観もあり、安心して勉強できました。この間実際試験を受けましたが、本やついているCDの声まんま（聞き慣れた声）で試験が受けられるのはやっぱりかなり精神的に楽でした。解説が少し不親切なところは否めませんが、その辺は他の自分と相性のいい文法書でカバーできます。でもちょっと値段が…だから★4つで。

TOEIC対策の問題集は､たくさんあるけど､過去問が乗っているのはほとんどない。
この本は､そうした本のひとつで、過去問をやって見ることができる。そうすれば､たとえばListning Comprehensionの話者のしゃべり方のくせ（話者は十人以下くらいしかいないという）などを、つかむことができ､更なる高得点を望むことができる。TOEICを受験する人にはぜひお勧めしたい本のひとつだ。

　試験制度改正前の駆け込み受験のために購入しました。リスニング問題をこんなに載せているのは、すごいです。某通信教材を使って勉強したこともありますが、問題の数は多いかも。駆け込み受験にはちょうどよい分量です。
　６年ぶりぐらいに受けますが、過去問はやっぱり必須だと実感しました。
