日米両企業に勤めた経験のある著者が日米それぞれの資本主義の特徴について述べた上で、
新しい日本資本主義”ニッポン・スタンダードを”の確立を提言している。

資本主義について、記憶に新しい事例を用いて説明しており、非常に分かりやすい。
初心者が会社や資本主義について学ぶのにも適する書。

米国式の資本主義、これまでの日本式の資本主義を超えた「新しい日本型の資本主義、会社」を創っていこう！と、熱く語られている本でした。

エンロン等の事件やご自分の経験などを通じて、米国式の資本主義や会社経営の特徴を分析します。
ホリエモンの事件、最近の企業経営等を通じて、日本式の資本主義や会社経営の特徴を分析します。

そして、良い社会、ちょっとでも住みやすい（？）社会にするために「新しい日本型の資本主義、会社」を提案しています。その中で、会社の経営、マネジメントはどうあるべきか、従業員はどうするべきか、株主との関係は、コープレートガバナンス、内部統制の姿、等が述べられています。

崇高な（？）目標を熱く説いている本ですが、文章は冷静で、内容も理解しやすいものでした。経済、経営などの専門的な知識がなくても読めました。

特に、資本主義とは、どのようなものか、その根底にある思想の説明は、参考になることが多かったです。
