迷った時の答えや道標が書いているわけではないですが。
行き詰って息詰まってどうしようもない時に、本棚から取り出して読むと、
ふっと肩の力が抜ける気がする本です。
ただのＱ＆Ａのはずなのに、読めば読むほど
「こういう発想があるのか」「答えが無いというのもアリか」
と、色々な発見があります。
好きだなぁ。谷川俊太郎さんの答える姿勢。

入院中に友人からプレゼントしてもらいました。
寝たきり状態だったので、こむずかしい小説や漫画だと
活字を読むだけでも疲れちゃってたのですが、
この本はかしこまらず楽な気持ちで読むことができました。
やさしい言葉で深い世界を描く谷川さんの文章が好きです。
くだらなくても、切実でも、
どんな環境であれ生きていることそのものに関心がわき、
好奇心がみるみるとふくらんでゆく、
誰かと話したくてうずうずする、
そんな力強い一冊だと思います。

ただ、装幀がおしゃれすぎるように思ったので☆4つにしました。
なんだか雑貨みたいな雰囲気なので本棚に置いておくと
「あ、かわいー」ってな感じはいいんだけど
谷川さんの言葉やイラストレーターさんのもつ風合いが、
軽くなりすぎているように思いました。

　Webサイト「ほぼ日刊イトイ新聞」に連載された【谷川俊太郎質問箱】（2006年３月〜2007年１月）がもとになってできた本。「a platform at dawn」「a deep noisy forest」「kids on a playground」「letters from friends」「seaside before dark」「clerks at the exit」の六つの章に、詩人の谷川俊太郎に宛てた色んな質問と回答が収められています。
　幅広い年齢層からの様々な質問に対して、時にユーモアを交えながら、真摯に受け止めて答えていく谷川さん。全体として、詩人のやわらかでしなやかな感性と、ゆとりのある軽やかなセンスを感じる回答でしたね。投げかけられた質問のボールをしっかりキャッチして、一呼吸おいた後でゆったりと返球する、融通無碍の呼吸のような、何て言うかな、受け答えの間合いみたいな空気もよかった。
　64の質問と回答のなかでも、次の質問への詩人の答に、「いいなあ」と思いました。
●どうして、にんげんは死ぬの？　さえちゃんは、死ぬのはいやだよ。（追伸：これは、娘が実際に母親である私に向かってした質問です。目をうるませながらの質問でした。正直、答に困りました〜）
●心の中の鬼はどうやって退治しますか？　谷川さんの心の中にも、鬼がいますか？
　谷川さんの答は･･････ここではないしょ。
