いろいろな韓国のガイドブックを読みましたが、この本のように普通の事、つまり日常的な文化や風習などは書いてありませんでした。単なる観光客としてではなく、普通の日本人として韓国の方々とお付き合いしていきたいと思っている人には大変参考になるし、読んでおくべき一冊だと思います。見た目はほとんど変わらないのに、日本と韓国の考え方の違いなどには本当に驚きです。文章も大変わかりやすくてお薦めです。

外国に旅したり、外国人と接したりすると、文化や習慣の違いを感じる。それは楽しい発見であったり、時には恥をかいたりするけれど、いつも「日本とは文化・習慣がちがうから」と片付けて、その理由や背景について思いめぐらすことはなかった。

でも、この本を読んでその国の文化・習慣を知る愉しみを知らされたような気がする。韓国人はもちろん外国人の知人を持つ人には是非おすすめ。

昨今の韓国ブームの中、生の韓国文化を知るにはとてもいい本です。
また、いままで韓国（人）にたいして偏見を抱いていた人には、カルチャーショックをあたえたのではないでしょうか？
今、日本人もしないご近所、友人との交流を外人で高学歴の筆者が、文化の違いをのりこえて楽しそうにやってのける姿は、何か反省させられ

そして、暖かいエールを貰ったような気がしました。
気軽によめるけれど中身は深い、そんな本だと思いました。
