林明子さんの絵本の大ファンです。「こんとあき」は読むたびに
胸がキュンとして特に大好きな絵本です。
この絵本のように、すばらしい作品はぜひ世界中の人に
読んでもらいたいなとずっと思っていましたので、
その本が英訳されて、しかもCD付きと聞き、感無量です！
もちろん早速購入しました。

「こん」と「あき」の名前がそれぞれ「Ken」と「Amy」に

変わっていて、初めはなんとなくしっくりしなかったですが、
読み進むうちにそんなことは忘れて、すっかり林明子さんの
世界に引き込まれていました。作品のすばらしさは、
日本語だろうが英語だろうが関係ないんですね。

私のように英語が得意でなくても十分大丈夫です。
単語もそれほど難しくないし、中学レベルの語学力があれば

読めると思います。それにCD付きというのは何とも心強いです。
我が家の子供達はまだ小学生で、英語のことはよくわかりませんが、
ストーリーはもちろん知っているので、CDを聞きながら
「この場面はこういうストーリーだったね」などとページを
めくっては話をしてます。

こんなすてきな英訳絵本があれば、

英語嫌いの子供なんていなくなるんじゃないかと、
ふと思いました。お勧めの一冊です。

CDに関してですが、棒読みなんです。
英語を理解する息子も、まったく興味を示しませんでした。
ストーリーが良いだけに残念。
