サラリーマンなんて、もう嫌だ！
誰にも媚びることなく、自分のほんとうに好きな物だけを売りたい、自分のセンスで勝負したい！
そんな気持ちで、つい、とあるセレクト書店で購入。

本だけだと成り立ちにくい書店経営も、カフェを併設することによって、お金も回るし、お客さんもゆったりくつろげるようになるんですね。
実際に、本書に載っているブックカフェも覗きにいってみました。
儲かっているという風には、とてもとても思えません。
でも、夢と自由、それから店主の気概を感じました。

カフェを作りたい方、本が好きな方、生き方を模索されている方。
夢で終わるか、現実につながるかは分かりませんが、ちょっと寄り道して、空想に胸をふくらませても、いいかも♪

居心地のいいカフェにゆったりと流れる時間。その時間を味わいながら本を読めたら。そんな夢をかなえてくれるブックカフェ。

本書ではブックカフェのオーナーたちからのインタビュー記事がとても面白い。また実際にカフェを開くための情報本としても使える。

本とカフェが好きな人に絶対お勧めしたい一冊。

　02年度から07年度までの5年間で書店総数は15％減少した。活字離れなどで出版不況が続く中中小規模の本屋さんは大変な状況だという。

　そういった中、この本の中ではここ数年にブックカフェという形態で書店を作った数名の方の体験が綴られています。多くの書店で資金繰りがうまくいかず倒産に追込まれている中、新しい書店の芽吹きも生まれている。それらは強烈な個性をもって生き残ろうと必死だ。

　書店を立ち上げよう考えている方は必見だと思います。特に立ち上げる際にかかった資金や苦労談は必ず取材するようにしたようで全ての書店員が語っている。そこが特に参考になります。
