強い刺激も、焦りも、激しさもない。そこがたまらなく心地良いです。水のようにゆったりと流れる時間、川の上を滑らかに滑るゴンドラ、それを華麗に操る女性たち。一人前の水先案内人を目指す、生き生きと輝く少女のささやかな物語。その美しい世界観に見惚れて時が経つのを忘れてしまいます。現代の圧迫した時間の紐を優しく緩めてくれる、そんなお話です。是非一度、読んでいただきたいです。

まず目に付くのが表紙の絵のきれいなこと
作者は昔はコピック着色でしたが、最近は専らＣＧを駆使していますがこれがまたほのぼのとしたこの作品のイメージとマッチしてるんですよ。
背景は主人公の水無灯里にとって特別な場所（本編で出てくるので詳しくは書きません
きっと一度呼んだ後に表紙を見返すとまた違った風に見えるかもしれません。

舞台は未来の地球化が進んだ火星-アクア-。
灯里がアクアのネオ・ベネツィアに降り立ち、水に囲まれたその町の観光専門のゴンドラ漕ぎであるウンディーネを目指すお話です。

惑星地球化計画や近未来といったＳＦ要素もありながら、妖精なんかも出てくるアンバランスさもこの作品ならではで、なぜか許容できてしまう所もこの作品の魅力です。
所々にある見開きページには思わず魅入ってしまいました。

それと、ネコがかわいいです

疲れた方どうか読んでみてください。
私はこの本を読むと、その住人になってしまう気分になります。
正確にいえば、現代人の理想がつまっている感じです、夢とも
とれる感じもします。どこか懐かしい感じがするんですよ＾＾

優しいストーリーと優しいイラスト。文字もそこまで多くなく
自身が体験したことのある感覚を呼び起こしてくれます。

すべてがゆったりとした世界です。
