「恐るべき・・」からの読者である私にとって、文句なしの讃岐うどん巡礼時の携行本である。
「恐るべき・・」をお笑い満載で個別の店紹介に特化した本とすると、この本は今までの蓄積されたデータを第一人者である著者が、ある程度系統だてて分類に振ったものといえる。もちろん、お笑い満載で。

かくいう私も、先日来、この本を携行してうどん屋巡りを行ったのだが、食べる前から「美味しいに違いない」という心理的な下地ができてしまっていた（もちろん、読んでなくても楽しめると思いますが）。あくまで、楽しみでまわっているのだから、数多ある本の中から楽しさのアシストをしてくれるこの本に巡りあえてよかったと思うし、他の旅情報誌もこういう傾向を出しても良いのではと思う。

全国発売でもこの内容（笑）、全国的に登場人物は謎であっても、団長の文章力でお笑い本として十分に楽しめます。
千趣会のパンフレット掲載文章があるにしても、「書籍としてまとめられた」ために、１つのうどん資料としてのまとまりを持ち、それはそれで満足できます。

登場のうどんやは、今や、「超有名針の穴場」となった感のお店がほとんどではありますが、この本を読まれた全国の（まだ讃岐入りしていない）うどん好きの皆様には、笑いと夢と希望を与えてくれるものと思います。立ち読みして、「ダブリや」と思わない方のみお買いあげになられる事をおすすめいたします。

「恐るべきさぬきうどん」５冊買った人には無駄かもしれないが、
今から讃岐うどんを食べに香川県に行く初心者にはよくまとまった１冊だとおもう。
後はホットカプセル(株)の
「さぬきうどん全店制覇攻略本２００３年版」
ISBN4-939012-36-0　＼1400税別
があれば完璧です。
さあ讃岐うどんを食べにいこう。
