全般的に考証ミスが多すぎる。間違いの指摘だけでも相当な量の文章が書け
てしまう。また、この種の本では必須科目？のはずのナチス親衛隊の黒服に
ついて全く触れられていないのも痛い（ＳＳの黒服は厳密な意味では「軍服」
ではないが・・・）。「軍服」というだけで萌えを感じる人が購入するのを
無理に止めはしないが、軍服・軍装品に関する資料としては全く役にたたない
と言い切ってしまってもよい。巻末に列挙されている参考文献を直接読むほ
うがはるかに有益であろう。また、軍服・軍装品は熱心な研究者・コレクターの方がネット上で情報を公開されている例も多い。そういった方々のＨＰに
アクセスした方が有益な情報を確実かつ簡単に無料で入手できるであろう。
はっきり言って「図鑑」と名乗れるレベルの本では無い。
かなり辛辣な評価であるが、表紙と題名を見て内容を期待して購入した者と
しては上記のような評価を下さざるを得ない。

軍服がこう言う物だと初めて知る初心者の方が読む本としては
下手な真面目な研究本よりよっぽどとっつき易いでしょうから
その面ではこの本は良いかもしれません。
しかしよく見れば考証の間違いも多く正直の所、
軍服の資料としては２流３流と言わざるを得ないかもしれません。
この本での説明と実際の着用目的・対象が全く異なっていたりすると言うのは
例え初心者や興味の無い方向けであったりしてもどうかなと思います。
個人的に言わせて貰えばこの本の説明の大体、
５０％ぐらいはいい加減な記述と見て良いでしょう。

私のような制服・軍服初心者にはかなり楽しめました。資料・図鑑だと思わずに読むといいと思います。
素人目でも、情報量は少なめだと感じますがこの値段だとこの程度だと思います。（個人的には特殊部隊をもっと出してほしかったかなぁ・・・と）
この本を読んでもっと軍服について知りたいと強く思うようになったので、買ってよかったです。
