私は先にDVD・BOXを購入し自宅で始めました。
ピラティスの特性は体の中の筋肉を鍛えると言う事ですので
（呼吸法、筋肉の意識の仕方、ポーズ一つ一つの意味、イメージング、
多少の体の仕組み）メソッドを個々に頭でも目でも理解して
いた方がより良く効果をあげられるとDVDを見て思い
2週間後にこの本も購入しました。

DVDも大変わかりやすく大満足でしたが、本を時間のあるときに
開いて、イメージングしたりおさらいしたり出来たので
DVDを見ながらやっていた事がしっかり身について
最初の頃より体の動かし方に自信を持てるようになりました。

薄めの読みやすい本です。
~イメージします。~の感じ。注意事項等1つの動きに
具体的なわかり易い説明が入り助かります。

本の後半部分に一目でわかるエクササイズのカード
32パターンがついて早速切り取りました。

やらなくては！という義務感や焦りを感じないで続けられている
自分に「うんうん」とうなずいています。

ピラティスをしていて迷うのが
「どのタイミングで呼吸するのか」。

動きに集中すると呼吸がおろそかになるし、
呼吸を整えようとすると動きがちぐはぐに・・
ピラティス初心者ならだれしもが迷うところだ。

ピラティスのキモは「呼吸と動きの連動」なのだが
この本はすべてのエクササイズに
呼吸をいつするのか、何秒するのかが書いてあり

イラストにも「スーハー」と表記してあるので
感覚的にわかりやすい。

取っ付きにくい筋肉や呼吸の哲学について
簡易なことばで書いてあるので、
難しい文章を理解しようと苦労しなくてすむ分
類書よりエクササイズへの導入がスムースに行くだろう。

同じ著者のＤＶＤ版も見たが
「わかりやすいピラティス」というコンセプトは同じだった。

ピラティスの本は何冊か持っていますが、その中で一番わかりやすかった本です。全体的にわかりやすいのですが、どこが一番わかり易いかと言うと、呼吸法のところです。ポイントをおさえた説明で言葉は短いですが、全体的にとてもわかりやすい本です。ポーズの種類も結構沢山載ってました。ポーズは絵で描いてあるのですが、絵でも解りやすいですよ。とってもおすすめな一冊です。

ひとつの動きに対しイラストがいくつかあり理解しやすい本です。
初心者から中級者まで役にたつこと間違いなし！
