別名・山直(やまちょく)。東京都の産。10月20日生まれのてんびん座。血液型A型。女子中高校に飽きずに33年、副校長で勇退、次に生まれる時はファッションデザイナーに。1968年以降、関係した著書は130冊以上、ビデオは40本以上。“人間と性”教育研究協議会代表幹事・“人間と性”教育研究所所長・『性と生の教育』編集長・NHK学園生涯学習講座「人間と性」監修者などとしてアクティブに活躍したが、2000年6月に逝去

手丸 かのこ
本名・長野正美(ながの・まさみ)。埼玉県出身。12月12日生まれのいて座。血液型O型。第29回小学館新人コミック大賞で佳作を受賞後、マンガ家として活躍中(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)

そろそろ生理が始まる小学校４年生の娘のために、『セイリの味方スーパームーン―生理なんでもハンドブック』『マンガ ポップコーン天使(エンジェル)―知ってる?女の子のカラダ』『｢せのつくはなし｣生理とセックス―中学生のおんなのコのからだBOOK』の３冊を購入。『セイリの味方~』が教科書なら『ポップコーン天使~』は副読本といった感じ。実際に、生理が始まってしまえば『ポップコーン天使~』の方が役に立つかもしれません。性教育の導入もあります。疑問が増えてしまうような導入と思えなくもありませんが、まずは、こういうことがあるんだな、と漠然と感じるところからはじめるという点では、生理前の女の子にちょうどいいくらいの情報量ではないかと思います。ただ、生理中のお風呂やプールについては『セイリの味方~』は保守派、『ポップコーン天使~』は積極派と意見が違います。私としては、ばい菌の感染なども気になるし、人の迷惑にもなる気がするので、子供にも保守派で通してもらいたいのが本音です。『｢せのつくはなし｣~』は、小四には少し早い内容。中学生くらいになって、生理に慣れてきた頃に渡そうと思います。

地元の女性会館にある図書館をうろついていたら、たまたまこの本が目に付いたので読んでみることにしました。
小学５・６年生の女子児童向けという事になっていますが、大人でも十分に性教育について楽しく学べます。というか、むしろ大人になってから読んでも性の重要性について再認識できるとてもいい本だと思います。

もちろん内容も優しくわかりやすくかつ面白く性について語っているので、小学校高学年の女子児童でも十分理解できる、ためになる本になるだと思います。

生理用品を学校の廊下で落としちゃったら
修学旅行で初めて生理になったら、ありえそうな日常のひとこま。
マンガであっさり描かれています。
買って本棚においてあいたら、絵がかわいいので子どもも読んでます。
山本直英先生の絵本ももっていて、とってもいいですが
こちらは絵本を卒業した年頃の女の子が自分で読める本で、違ったよさがありお薦めです。
