ファイアウォールを構築するために購入しました。
認証、セキュリティ方針など、具体的にどうするとよいかは、利用者によることもありそうです。本で書いてあることをどのように適用するとよいかを考えさせられました。
西暦２０００年問題の際にも、セキュリティとの関係を検討しました。
TCP/IPの基本をご存じのない方のために付録Cがあるようです。
すでに出ている最新版は２分冊のようです。

実際にファイアウォールの構築を行うわけではなくても、ネットワークの技術や、各機器の動作についてきちんと理解したい人は是非読むべき書籍。それぞれの機器がどういう意味をもって構成されているのか、そしてどういう役割を果たしているのかがきちんと分かります。

ぱらぱらめくってよむだけでも十分勉強になると思います（逆に、気合いを入れて読むにはちょっとつらい分量かもしれないので）。 対象は中級者以上でしょうか。
