ちょっとした挿絵もすごくかわいいし、本の中でのアメリの生活はゆっくりで私も本の中に入ったみたいにいい気分で読めました。そして、もう１度読み直したり、お気に入りの挿絵のページを開いたりして、アメリの声や、その周りの人物を想像したりして、余韻にひたる事もでき、あまりに値打ちのある本だったので、映画も見に行きましたが、映画の中の人物は私の想像していた人たちと全然違っていたのでショックでした。やはり、「本というのは、自分的な映画を勝手に作りながら読めるという満足感がある事も、いいところなんだ」と、この本のおかげで改めて思いました。

見てて思わず微笑んでしまうようなとても可愛い話でした。
最初読んだときは内容を理解できませんでしたが何度も読めば読むほど意味が分かってきてアメリの世界に引き込まれていきました。
また、読んだ後に映画を見るとさらに分かると思います。
映画もとても可愛かったです。

ちょうど映画を見た直後にパリに行ったのでアメリと同じ世界にいる感じで感動しました。

　アメリの置かれている立場って決して恵まれていません。小さいときに母を失い、妻を失ったショックで引きこもりになった父にはかまってもらえず空想ばかりしているのですから。でもそんなアメリが引き起こす本当に些細な騒動はなぜか暖かい。フランス人だからこその幸せの探し方をアメリに教えてもらったような気がします。小さなエピソード一つ一つがほのぼのとしていて、しゃれています。（どんなエピソードかは、ここに書いちゃいけませんよね）
　まるで童話の本のようにすぐに読めてしまうけれど、そばに置いておいて時々開いてみたくなる本です。
