『１人での３~７ボール』『２，３人でのパッシング』『バウンスボール』などの技が１００種類以上、スタートやフィニッシュ、キャッチの仕方もほぼすべてのページに登場するキャラクターの動きで本当にわかり易いです。
練習の仕方なども順を追って丁寧に説明されていて、難しそうに見える技も全て基本技の組み合わせであるということがよくわかります。

テレビで見て絶対できないよ・・・と思う技も読んで練習しているうちにこの本に書いてあることが全部できるようになるんじやないかな？という気になってきます。（本当にできると思います）

最後のページにはジャグリング関連情報や『サイトワップ』というジャグリングの技を数字で表したものがあり１０９５種類の技が紹介されています（これでも!全てではないそうです）値段はちょっと高いような気もしますが、年齢に関係なく一生遊べて自分で技を考えるヒントも与えてくれるスポーツであり頭の体操でもあるジャグリング、覚えて損はしないと思います。初めてできた時の充実感は最高です！！

原著と見比べて見られたらわかりますが、非常によい訳です。
中でも挿絵まですべて日本語にさりげなく直ってるところや、ちりばめられたユーモアもきちんと翻訳されていて、すばらしいと思います。日本語のユーモアと英語のユーモアのセンスはずいぶん異なりますが、違和感なく見事に翻訳されていると思います。また、原著の誤りまで修正されているので、買って間違いなしです！！

これが始めての翻訳とは思えません。ぜひ、訳者さんにはクラブジャグリングの本も翻訳していただきたく

ボールのジャグリングをする人、してみたい人なら買って損はしない百科事典です。
初心者、中級者なら数年間は楽しめるほどいろいろな技や知識が解説されていますし、
上級者やマニアでも知らなかったこと、目新しい技をきっと見つけられます。
事典なのでいろいろな項目が混在して載っており、豊富な内容に初心者は圧倒されてしまうかも知れません。

でも、内容にはすべて相互参照が付いているので、「初心者」という項から読み始めると基本から少しずつ高度な技へ導かれます。
ある程度心得のある人は、興味のあること、調べたいことから拾い読みしていけばよいでしょう。
もう一つの特徴は、豊富に載っている挿し絵の面白さとユーモアに富んだ語り口で、これは類書に例を見ません。

私は原?からの愛読者ですが、訳も読みやすく正確です。

なお、続編の Compendium of Club Juggling は原書が Amazon でも購入できますので、英語が読める方はそちらもお勧めです。
