1920年にドイツで出版された、法律家と精神科医による共著「生きるに値しない命を終わらせる行為の解禁」の全訳と解説。
「知的障害者を安楽死させてあげることは、是か否か？」
「是さ！それが社会のため、家族のため、本人のためでもある。」という主張。
なぜ解禁すべきなのか、それが可能なことなのかを、淡々と検討していく。

日本でも、高齢化で増加する社会保障費の問題を話している場で、
この種の"最終的解決"を主張する人をちらほら目にするようになってきた。

今はまだ、敢えて極論を口にする偽悪的な冗談のノリも感じられるけれど
不況が長引き、年金問題、労働問題などで世代間の憎悪が爆発したら
それが大勢になっちゃったりするのかな？
