C++を分かったつもりになって使っていた。
MISRA-C++を理解しようとしたら、ふだん自分が使っていない機能がたくさんでてきた。
そこで、MISRA-C++の参考文献を見たら、この第３版が書かれていた。

本書は、すばらしく、C++の課題に切り込んでいることが分かった。
C++が、
C
Object指向C
Template C++
STL
の４つの言語の連合体だとのこと。１つの言語として理解しようとするから難しかったことが分かりました。

#defineよりもconst, inlineを使った方が、プリプロセッサではなく、コンパイラに頼ることができることなど、
対応すべきことと、避けることが書かれている。

初版は課題が５０だったが、第３版では課題が５５に増えている。
基底として用いるC++の国際規格の版によって、未解決の問題と解決済みの問題があるという理解でよいだろうか。

MoreEffectiveC++が続刊である。
Effective STLも合わせて読むとよいらしい。

著者の経験に基づく啓発的で素晴らしい内容だと思います。
内容はポピュラーな事項から実践に即した中級レベルもの
までバラエティーに富んでいます。一部間違いがあるので
著者のサイトの確認が必要です。
見やすいレイアウトになっており訳も素晴らしいと思います。

読みにくいという評判だったのですが、内容が素晴らしいという言葉を信じて、
実際に読んでみました。

確かに誤字脱字を10箇所ほど気がつきましたが、読みにくいという印象は受けませんでした。
また、前評判通り内容は素晴らしかったです。

ターゲット読者は、中級以上のC++プログラマです。
いままで、気にもしなかったことを知ることができ、より一層の理解に繋がりました。

全55項目のテクニックを紹介していて、気になる項目だけを読むのも良いです。
しかし、全てを読まないと勿体無いです。
各項目は章に分かれていますし、索引もしっかりしているので、
読み返すのも楽にできます。

C++プログラマなら、押さえておきたい一冊です。
