実は。大学時代にまどさんの詩を研究していました。だから当然好きだし、分厚い全集も持っています。私がこの文庫をオススメするポイントは2点、「持ち運べていつでもまどさんの詩が読める」ことと「初期の作品が収録されている」ことです。
中学生の頃に初めてまどさんの詩に興味を持った時は、まず言葉のリズムに惹かれました。そしてたくさんの作品を知るにつれ、その純化した世界に魅了されたのですが、私にとって一番魅力的だったのは、全集で初めて読んだ初期の頃の作品です。
一般的には「ぞうさん」「やぎさんゆうびん」などの童謡や、教科書で見るような児童向けの詩のイメージが強いと思いますが、初期の頃の詩は、とても静かで深く自分と向き合っている感じがします。その静けさが、私はとても好きです。この視点が、後の「世界や宇宙と向き合う」まど作品の視点にもつながっていると思います。
もちろん、初期作品ばかりでなく、代表的な名作も数多く収録されています。やさしく、楽しく、おだやかな気持ちになる言葉たち。そばに置いて、何度も読み返したくなる文庫詩集です。

まどさんの詩は、凄くあったかい気持ちに
やさしい気持ちになれます。
凄くほっとできて、ひらがなが多いってところも
だいすきです。

あたしの好きな「ドロップスのうた」などの童謡もあって
とにかくこの詩集はお気に入りです。
