宇治川 博司
1962年4月7日福岡県福岡市博多生まれ。高校卒業後、映画監督を目指し東京へ上京したが、仕事先でダイビングと出会いインストラクターとなる。85年にダイビングの仕事で初めて訪れた沖縄の海の美しさと島での暮らしに魅せられて翌年移住する。その後、与論島、そしてサイパンと移り住むが湾岸戦争の影響で帰国。沖縄を忘れられずに91年再び移住。その間に色々な分野のカメラマンと出会い影響を受け独学で陸上・水中写真を学ぶ。沖縄全体(陸上・水中)をフィールドに“沖縄を感じる”写真を撮り続けている(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)
