なるほど…というのが、一番最初に読み終えたときの感想でした。
前半は、ベトナムの文化や、言語のこと、食材のこと、屋台のことなど、ベトナムという国を多角的な視野から紹介しています。
とはいっても、内容はそんなに固いものではなく、一口コラムくらいの内容で読みやすいつくりになっています。
後半は、実際に「kitchin｣というベトナム料理のお店のオーナーである著者が、お店で出している料理のレシピなどを詳しく紹介しています。お店で出しているものだけではなく、ベトナムで一般的に食べられている料理のレシピも満載です。
ベトナム料理に興味のある私にとっては、ベトナムという国のさまざまな面まで解説してくれる、このような本はとってもお買い得でした。
ただ、好き好きは分かれるかもしれません。
変形の版型や、紙の感じも私はベトナムっぽくておしゃれなつくりだなあと思いましたが、値段と総合して考えると、｢こんなの~｣と思う方もいらっしゃるかもしれません。
ベトナム好きのかたには、自信を持っておすすめします。
