これまで球体関節人形制作に関する書籍は、日本ではないに等しかったけれど、
この本は初にして完全版という宣伝文句がぴったり当てはまります。
懇切丁寧に解説してあります。
ホビージャパンで連載した内容にプラスして
補足も増え、歯の作り方なども載っていますし
道具や工具といった物の紹介もきちんとしていますし
写真だけ見ても作れそうなくらい作業工程の写真の多さは抜群で、
しかも前頁プルカラーなので、これ以上はないかと思います。
教室に通うことを考えると、これでこの値段は安いです。
買ってよかったと思います。
連載で作った人形と
吉田良氏のほかの作品の写真も複数載っています。
普段見れない足のアップなど、参考になります。

石塑粘土による創作人形の技法書です。
ビスクではないので窯が無くても始められます。
下絵に始まりリアルな造形をするための土台作り、粘土や胡粉の調合、義眼の作り方など名のある人形作家なら隠してしまうなような技法に加えて材料の入手先、参考文献まで載せているので自己流に創作人形を作りたい人必読。全編カラーでこの価格はお買い得。

初心者にも凄くわかりやすい本だと思います。
作ってみたいけど、教室に通うのも…という方には特におすすめだと思います。
とにかく写真数が多くて、作らないにしても見るだけで楽しめました!
いつか作ってやろう!という気にさせてくれる一冊です
