絵本ってこどものものだけではないんですね。特にこの絵本は中学生から大学生までにバカウケ！単にあくびがうつっていくだけなどと単純に受け取らないでください。あくびがどんどんうつっていくここち良さ、もちろん読み手にもうつってきます。ところであくびがうつるということは・・ゆったりと、落ち着いて、おなかもふくれて・・生き物にとっては本当に幸せな時に出るものなんですよね。こんなことを感じた若者の感想が「これは世界平和の絵本や」うれしいですね、こういうひとことは。高畠純さんの「よこむいて にこっ」、ふくだすぐるさんの「すきすきかいじゅう うまれたよ」もいいですよ

とにかく絵がインパクト大。表紙を見るだけで逃げる子もいて…。でも何かひかれるものがあるらしく読み始めると喜ぶ子、あくびする子、逃げた向こうからのぞいてる子。絵が怖くなかった子達は後日本棚から勝手に出して眺めてましたよ。

絵の迫力にびっくり。単純な展開ですがこんなにダイナミックにあくびを表現されるとこっちまで伝染します。息子もこんな風にのびのびと絵を描ける子に育って欲しいなあと思います。
