息子が2歳の時に買ってやりました。
ちょうど、乗り物に興味を抱きだした頃で、電車も大好きだったので、何度も読んでくれとせがまれました。
1ページおきに、トンネルのシーンが出てきて、トンネルを抜けるたびに、風景が変わります。
山の駅から、海の駅まで。
基本的にはストーリーは無いので、前からでも後ろからでも読めるようになっています。
注意するのは、最後まで読んでも、もう一回、と子供にリクエストされ、また逆向きに読まされてエンドレスになってしまうことです。
いったい、何往復させられたことやら。

赤ちゃんから年少さんにかけて、
プラレールにはまっていた息子の、
ベスト５には入る絵本ですね。
繰り返し読んだ回数からいえば。

「これ、な〜に？」
このご本で（と、思わず「ご」を付けたくなってしまう）、
一体、どれだけのコトバを覚えてくれたことか!?
数え切れないくらいの。

固有名詞だけでなく、
TVでみる映像とはまたちがう味わいの、
たとえば、抽象名詞の世界を覚えるには、最高の一冊です。

まだ見たことのない山や海の景色、行ったことのない風景、
「季節」や「四季」というものがあるらしい、
とぼんやり覚えてくれました。

歯医者さんに置いてあったこの本に一目惚れ。
大人の心もワクワクさせる絵本です。
どこかなつかしい、丁寧で美しい絵が素敵。
２歳になる息子のお気に入りです。
自分が名前を覚えたものを絵の中に見つけては得意げに指差します。
親子で会話が広がる絵本ですよ。
