本日準１級を受けてきました。自己採点で９割弱の正答率でしたのでほぼ安全圏だと思います。
準１級は対象字数がＪＩＳ第一水準のおよそ3000字です。２級までで半数を習得したと仮定しても、残り1500字という膨大な字の読みと書き、およびそれを含む熟語や古諺、故事成語、表外の読みなどを完璧に記憶することはほぼ不可能です。
ただ、漢検の最大の特徴は、同じ問題が繰り返し出題されるという点にあります。つまり理論的に言えば、過去問題に多くあたればあたるほど合格率は高くなります。しかし現実問題として、容易に入手できる過去問題（漢検公認書籍）はせいぜい４~５年前くらいのものまででしょう。
この本の価値はそこにあります。参考書の形態をとっていますが、実体は過去の頻出問題を集めたダイジェスト版です。
まずはこの本を隈なく完璧に覚えることです。もちろんこれだけでは足りないのですが、この本で凡その足固めができ、正答率が飛躍的に伸びるのが実感できるはずです。次の本にも取り掛かりやすくなるでしょう。
準１級に関する他社の問題集についてはその良し悪し（つまり読む価値があるかないか）を語ることはできますが、殊この本に関してはそうした論駁は無意味です。必須の書です。第一関門と思ってください。
この本を２週間でマスターして、残りの２週間で他社の問題集およびオフィシャル過去問題集を熟せば、およそ１ヶ月で合格ラインに辿り着ける筈です。私はそうやって（たぶん）合格しました。

この問題集だけでは問題量が足りない。まず四字熟語だがこの本を完璧にしたとしても運が良くてとれて7割程度である。さらに漢字の書きだがこの問題集ではやはり量的に足りない。もしこの問題集を完璧にして試験に望んだとしてもいい結果は得られない。もうひとつ問題集をこなすことをおすすめする。

漢字検定準１級を扱う本書では、今までに見たことのないような漢字が続出です。
たとえ、見たことがある漢字であっても、読み方が確実に分かるものは少ないです。
しかし、少し難しい本を読む場合には、この程度の漢字が読めるほうがよいと思います。
また、知らない漢字に出会うたびに、辞書をひけば語彙力を向上させることができるでしょう。
私も、学習を進めながら辞書を片手に読んだり、書いたりの勉強をしています。

２級は、常用漢字を中心とした問題になりますが、
準１級ともなると、ＪＩＳ規格の学習になります。
それだけ難易度も高くなりますが、深い教養を身に付けることができるでしょう。
また、漢字を読んだり、書いたりする中で自信もつくと思います。

準１級の壁は難関ですが、本書を中心とした学習で合格に一歩近づけるのではないかと思います。
