小学３年生で習う漢字200字が50音順に出ていて、音、訓の読み、書き順はもちろん、その漢字の持っている意味や使い方（熟語）が詳しく書かれている。練習問題もただ書き取りだけではなく、いろいろな角度からの問題なので、子供も漢字の勉強に面白みを感じて取り組むようになってきた。

子供と一緒に漢字検定試験を受けました。
40歳にして、子供と一緒に９級から受けています。（笑）

（１）漢字学習ステップ　　　　（日本漢字教育振興会）
（２）これだけ覚える漢字検定合格問題集（成美堂出版）
（３）漢検分野別問題集　　　　（日本漢字教育振興会）
---------------------------------------------------
（１）（２）の組み合わせで、５級までは確実に合格できます。
４級以上になると、さすがに（３）が必要になるかもしれません。

【勉強方法】
（１）を主にして全体を網羅します。
（２）の第１章の練習問題を試験１週間前に集中して解きます。
これで合格間違いなしです。

ちなみに、「子供に負けてはならない」とお思いの親御さんは、
８級から５級までは、（２）の第１章、第３章だけやれば大丈夫だと思います。
しかし、４級からは（３）に手を出さないと駄目だという人もいるでしょう。
パソコン時代の今は、まじめに取り組まないと子供に負けますよ。
経験者は語る･･･です。
私は子供に何度も負けてます。（笑）

子供に、１０級、９級のステップで勉強させ、漢検を受けさせてきたが、今回の８級からはやはり、少しレベルも高くなり、子供っぽさが減ったようだ。大きさも小ぶりとなり、カラーのイラストもなくなった。二色刷りのイラストが入っている。他の漢検のための練習問題本は難しすぎる、と言ってやりたがらなかった子供が、これには取り組んでくれた。練習問題には小1、小2の漢字もかなり含まれており、８級の勉強をしながら、今までの復習ができるのがよい。（８級の出題範囲は小1、小２の漢字も含まれているので当然だが。）同シリーズの１０級、９級になかったものとして、「漢字練習ノート」と称する別冊がついている。これは、書き順や書くときの注意事項が書いてあり、マスを埋めながら練習できるようになっているものだ。だたし、マスの数は1字につき３つしかない。模擬問題が一つしか付いてないが、もっとあればよかったと思う。不満はあるが、同種の他のものよりは子供にとって親しみやすいようなので、星4つとしておこう。
