まだロシア語を学んでない方なら、同じ著者の会話本から入ったほうが無難でしょう。こちらはある程度知っていて、サブテキストや単語帳として使うと便利です。題名通り、単語中心の羅列だからです。
　但し、その分類方法は実用的！「基本単語（助数詞、曜日、月、単位等）」「動きと五感」「人間関係」「「日常生活」「社会生活」「文化芸術」「生物自然」とされており、しかも「ロシア語で何と言えばば・・・」という、例えば「我が家は仲良し家族です」から「この企業は取引高が大きい」まで、単語もシャンプー、香水、ニンニク、星座名など、普段の私たちが使いたくなる単語・例文が並んでいるのが興味をそそりました。例え初心者であっても、直接自分で表現したいことを表現できる喜びが学ぶ楽しさですからね。
　付属のＣＤは気持ちがいいほどきれいなロシア語ですね。ただ例文にはアクセントの位置を表記してくれた方が、ロシア語を学ぶ上での一助になると思いました。ロシア語はアクセントの位置で母音の発音が変りますから（モスクワじゃなくてマスクヴァーとか）ＣＤでそれを確認しながら学べますし。もっともＣＤ付きのロシア語本でこのコストパフォーマンスはかなりいいと思いますよ。

　ロシア語超初心者の私の感想です。

　コミュニケーションに必要な最低限の単語をよくまとめてあると思います。単語と訳語の羅列ではなくて、それぞれ例文がついており、CDで発音、イントネーション（ロシア語ではこれが大事らしいですね）を確かめる事ができます。例文をまるごと暗記すればちょっとした会話が出来そうですし、最初の関門の動詞の変化なども自然に頭に浸透していきそうです。簡単にですが、文法の説明も載っているので、これ1冊から始めてみてもよさそうです。一応、カタカナでフリガナもふってあるので、いそいそと和露辞典をひいてみても正確な発音が分からないとお嘆きのあなた（というか私）にもお薦めです。
　ちなみに単語・例文の朗読はNHKラジオ・ロシア語講座のスヴェトラーナさんです。

このような本を探していました。
良書ですが、やはりサブテキストですので基本書(語尾の変化や不完・完)は別途必須です。ジャンル別に絵に単語がかかれているのでとても見やすいですね。(家族構成、生活雑貨など)
