　推薦文をかかれている面々は、ビック・ネームだらけ。『ほんやら堂』は同支社大学そばの著者経営による喫茶店、『八文字屋』は京都の繁華街の同じく著者経営の酒房だ。いわば、ホーム・ゲームでの独壇場である。
　それでいて、男性女性世代を問わず鑑賞者を選ばず、各人を虜にすること、請け合い。日常を暮らす美女の美女たるゆえんが写っている。あわせて、性別を超えて、人の美しさをこれでもか、と見せつけてくれる。肯定的な写真集は貴重だ。この世も捨てたものじゃない、という気持ちに包まれるから。
　ちなみに、著者は、僕の知人だから、そのあたりはレビューとして、客観性に欠けるけれど、そのあたりをどう思われるかは、レビューを読まれた方の個々のご判断にお任せいたします。とにかく、著者は、京都で暮らし、３５年強に渡り、生涯１００万枚以上の写真を撮り続けてきた。今でも一日につき７０枚以上は撮るらしい。本物中の本物の実力の持ち主です。

新聞の批評欄に掲載されていたのがきっかけで、購入することになったのですが。見て思ったのは、被写体の人達の表情には着飾ったものがあまり感じられず、日常の素顔に近い雰囲気が漂っていて、お客とお店の適度な距離感が良かったです。

正統派美人から個性派まで、美女のモノクロ写真を誕生日ごとに掲載していくスタイルでまとめられている。
一年、365日が全て埋まっている！
本写真集は、前作「美女365日」から12年ぶりの出版になるらしい。
（残念ながら「美女365日」については未見。）

一枚一枚の写真、どれもユニークで、写真そのものにも表情がある。
女性の表情だけでなく、何かその人の人生の一部が垣間見えてくるような不思議なおもしろさを感じる。
カラーでは得られないモノトーンの奥深い空間と表情に、
温かく人を見つめる撮影者（甲斐氏）のやさしさを感じることができる。
