私も小さい塾を主宰しているから、そういう意味では著者とは
同業と言える。但し、私の所は中学受験など全く縁のない、いわゆる
補習型の教室だ。

以前から「中学受験」を特化させて取上げる、受験ハウツーものには
抵抗があった。また、これをやれば効果が出るとか、これを与えれば
伸びると言ったような教材至上主義にも疑問を持っていた。

宮本氏の講演を一度聞いたことがあるので、あの先生ならおそらくは
遠慮なく言ってくれるだろうなと期待して読んだ。そして期待が裏切られる
事は無かった。

もともと親子関係は、モノを教えたり教わったりするようには出来て
いない。だからこそ、他人にモノを習いに行く事に意味があるのだが、

塾屋の中にも（他のどの業界とも同じで）バカな講師が混じっている。

親はそれを見極めて子供を預け、預けた以上は我が子にモノを教えない
努力が必要だ。そんな事をする時間があったら、共感し合う関係・・・
本や映画を共に語るような関係を築くべきだ。

世の親たちが、この本に触れることで「レベルの低い業界講師」の

言いなりにならずに済むように、

また我が子との貴重な時間を大事にすごせるように、切に願う。

娘二人の頼りない父です。わがままな二人に振り回されっぱなしの日々。これからどうなることやらの矢先に出会ったこの本。確かに教育の仕方に多大なる変化をもたらすほど衝撃があります。そればかりでなく、人生論にもなってます。難しい文章ではないので、一気に読めます。この本、売れて欲しいな。全ての日本人に読んで欲しい。十年後に何かが変わるかも。

成績順ではなく早いもの順に入塾下生徒を
首都圏の有名中学に脅威の合格率を誇る
塾の先生が書かれている本です。

子どもを持つ親として
いい成績を望みます。

でもこの本を読んで

いい成績は勉強をやらせればいいわけではないことがはっきりと書かれています。

勉強をさせる＝頭を使う。

ではないのです。
それに気づかせてもらいました。

親としてどうしてもつまずきを取り除きたい。
それが子どもをダメにする。
躓くことに躊躇せず
自分で解決できる子にするには・・・・

そういう子が最終的に
受験で合格を勝ち取る・・・・

というヒントがたくさんあります。

ダメ親。バカ親。親ばか。
親にとって耳を覆いたくなるような
こと場が続きますが
子どものことを考える、
視点を変えるきっかけになる
本だと思います。

勉強をさせたくなった時
文句を言いたくなったとき
思い出し、
繰り返し読みたいです。
