なんのために収納するのか。収納のアイデアを練るのに夢中になっているうちに本来の収納の目的を忘れてはいないか。「収納」の意味を問い直し、この本では美しく生きるための収納、モノを生かすための収納を学びます。

増えつづけるモノをどう取捨選択しどう活かすのか、題に「人生計画」とあるとおりライフステージ別、また個人とモノの関わり方を踏まえ性格別にポイントを絞って教えてくださいます。

“私の住まいは美しくない”-こういったフラストレーションを漠然と感じている方に、まず手にとって戴きたい一冊。収納の問題はいわばそれからです。生きることは住まうこと。そして、住まうことはモノと付き合うこと。私にはそう教えられた気がしました。

といった感じの内容。
最近の収納系などの本とは一線を画しています。
そういう類のものを期待して買われると後悔します。

彼女の「○○のルール」という本はページの半分が絵、という
構成ですが、今回はほとんど彼女の文章でつづられています。
ただ、「収納計画は人生計画」という題名につられて
買ったのですが、話が抽象的で
「人生計画」にまでは到底至ることが出来ませんでした。

収納で切羽詰っている人には不向きの本かも知れません。
これから結婚する人、これから子供を産む人で
精神的にも余裕のある人が、前もって読んでおいたらいいかも？
という感じの本だと思いました。

「美しく」生活したい方には是非お勧めの本です。収納という行為を通して実際に生活を楽しめるだけでなく、精神的にも余裕を持てることを改めて考えさせられました。著者の文章使いも参考になります。読み終わったあとには何故か言葉遣いが丁寧になるこの方の本。抹茶と上品な和菓子を何故か食べたくなりました。
