私は小学生の子供を持つ親ですが、この本は子供に読ませる前に私が読んでいたら、子供に偉そうに算数の面白さを教えられたのにとちょっと残念！子供に語りかける文章と、へえっとうなずくウラ技には、今までの参考書とは全く違った魅力を感じました。

算数の概念を分かりやすく解説し、時には知的好奇心をくすぐる題材を取り上げるなど、算数を好きにさせてくれる要素がちりばめられています。軽妙な語り口で、子供も取り組み易いのではないかと思われます。演習問題はほとんどないので、算数の読み物といったところ。楽しめます。

塾でテクニックとして教えてもらったことの意味を、この本で確認できる感じ。すぐに算数ができるようになるわけではないけれど、算数を好きになるきっかけにはなりそう。親子で楽しく読んでいます。
