判例の解説など以前のものよりボリュームUPされている。
ただ、マンガの絵がいまいち。漫画家を複数名起用しているが、シロウトが書いたのではないか、というような絵があちこち見受けられる。
過去の判例まんがの構成をそのまま真似て書いたものもいくつか見られるし、判例の内容をきちんと理解しないまま書いているとしか思えないものもある。

マンガの部分については以前の作(判例まんが1〜3)の完成度が高かったので、この点が悔やまれる。
解説を重視するのであれば、他に良い法学書が色々とある。
このシリーズはマンガ部分がウリなのだから、この点はこだわって欲しかった。

家族法の紛争が、わかりやすくイメージできる一冊。
文字だけの概説書に苦戦している方には、お勧め。
見開き2ページなので、引用されている事例が多めに入っている。
ちゃんと引用されている判例が紹介されているし、法的観点からなにがポイントなのか（そして適用条文も掲載）も解説されている。
どんな紛争があるのかをイメージした上で、紹介された判決の原文や各法律雑誌の評釈に当たる用にすれば役に立つでしょう。
あくまでわたくしは、本書以外に家族法の判例をわかりやすく解説しているのは、新判例マニュアル民法（５）しか知りませんので、重宝しています。
