私が小学２・３年の頃に爆発的に人気だったスラムダンク。１９歳になって今更はまってしまいました。ネットでスラムダンクを検索してみたら、「スラムダンクの秘密」なんていう本を発見。目次を見てみたら中々興味深そうな内容だったし、「面白い」という声が多かったので思い切って「スラムダンクの秘密」と「スラムダンクの秘密２」を買いました。でも読んでいったら私にとってはあんまりどうでも良い内容でした。なんて言うかスラムダンクファンの方が検証した様な内容でした。私は三井君が一番好きなんですが、目次に「三井は金持ちだった」の項目を読んだら、安西先生が倒れた時の綾南ＶＳ湘北の試合の時に、三井君が安西先生の引き伸ばし写真を持ってきてたから恐らく金持ちだろう、という推測だか何だか分からん事が書いてました。私は別にマンガにそこまで求めてないのであんまり面白くはなかったです。「スラムダンクの秘密２」の「登場人物の完全プロフィール」も期待外れでした。「あれが完全プロフィールって言うの？」って感じでした。
　このような本を買うのは初めてなので、良く分からないし、実際ファンの方が検証？して本になったのかとかも分かりませんが、私的には外れでした。「面白い」と言った方々に申し訳ありませんが。だったら「井上雄彦　イラストセレクション」の方が断然面白いのではないかと思います。
　長々とした意見を読んで頂き、ありがとうございました。

井上雄彦氏のマンガ「スラムダンク」が１億冊突破で、記念行事が行われたり、当時のアニメのＤＶＤのレンタルがはじまったりと、再び「スラムダンク」がブームになっているのだろう。この本も93年に出されたものが、12年ぶりに新装版として再登場したものである。

93年当時は知らなかったが、今回手にして面白かったのは、スラムダンクに登場する湘北高校をはじめ、各高校のモデルを解き明かしているところ。舞台が神奈川県であり、選手達が乗り降りする電車のモデルが江ノ電であることは、容易に想像がつくが、湘北高校のモデルが神奈川県ではなく、東京の武蔵野市の某高校であることは知らなかった。

また、スラムダンクに先行して、その原型となった作品がいくつかあったことも、初めて知った。

肩がこらずに、楽しく読めた。スラムダンクファンは一読を。
