私は福島と茨城のハーフで、生まれ育ちは神奈川、というバリバリ関東人です。
関西弁は話せないけど、お笑い好きのため、もちろん、聞けばわかります。
この本は、もちろん、関西弁ではなくて、聖書を普及させるために書かれているけど、
この本を通して、関西弁の良さ、懐の深さ、みたいなものと、ひいては、言葉の力、
みたいなものも、深く考えさせられました。

さて、私は、ミッション系の学校出身で、キリスト教は結構詳しい方です。
でも、いっつも聖書の翻訳には違和感がありました。
何か、日本語としてこなれてないし、どうにも、胸に迫ってこないんですよね。

例えば受胎告知の場面のマリアとか、天使が来て、マリアが「胸騒ぎがした」
とか、日本語として、本当に使い方がおかしいです。
何か良くないことを恐れているときに使う言葉をそこで使うのは文脈的におかしいからです。
そこは、ただ、突然の天使のお告げに、単純に「びっくりした」でいいのです。
だって、マリアは、まだあどけない少女なんですから。

イエスはきっと、自分の普通の言葉で話しかけていたと思うのです。
それが、関西弁のコテコテな感じにすると、すご〜くわかりやすくて、しかも、
関西弁独特の、あったかくて人間味のある表現がすごくいいです。
少しでもキリスト教を勉強した人や、信仰を持っている人に特におすすめします。
ああ、そうかあ、と、理解の難しかった箇所が、すう〜っと心に沁みてくると思います。
この聖書だと、イエスがいかに、小さな子どもを大事にしろ、と言っているかが、
特によくわかって感動します。
子どもが虐待されたり、自殺したりする昨今、キリストの言葉の意味をもう一度
よく考えるのに絶好の本だと思います。
一家に一冊、置いとかなあかんと思うわ、ほんまに。
（この本を夢中になりすぎて、しばらく、頭の中が大阪弁で一杯になった程でした）

イエスはんは言わはった。「ええか、耳かっぽじってよう聞けよ。…」
（本著より）

普通の聖書では「耳のあるものは聞きなさい。」と記されているが、すばらしいコテコテ大阪弁訳。イエス・キリストが関西人の心に迫ってきます。

マタイ福音書だけではなく、ほかの書簡もナニワ訳にしていただきたい。

笑えました。しかも、大阪弁のイエス・キリストは説得力がある！

確かにね〜って思いました。
以外に新発見もあったし、何より聖書が身近に感じる。
近所の井戸端会議レベルに（笑）

欄外の、ダニエル、エリヤ、ヨナとノストラダムスが、両方同じ「予言」となっていましたが、
ダニエル、エリヤ、ヨナの方は、神から預かった言葉なので、「預言」です。
ノストラダムスは神の預言者ではないから「予言」です。
間違えないでほしかった・・・

後、外国人の扱いがイマイチ。
聖書の中ではイスラエル人以外が外国人。
欄外にいちお書いてあるけど、本文が大阪弁で親しみやすい分、
読んでるうちに、外国人＝日本人以外の事って気がしてくる。
特に、「外人ちゅうのは、ペラペラ祈れば祈るほど、ええもんやと思うとるけど、ほんまはちゃうんや。
せやさかい、そいつらの真似したらあかんのやで。」の部分。
現代語訳では、「異邦人のように同じ言葉をただ繰り返してはいけません。彼らはそうすれば聞かれると思っています。」となっています。
ちょっとイメージ違う気が・・・

後、欄外の変な格言？みたいなのはイラナイと思う。
何の必要性があって入れたんだろ？
なんか押し付けがましいって感じ。
聖書だけの方がいい。

マタイの福音書だけじゃなくて、旧約から全部作ってくれないかな〜。
そしたら聖書全部読破できそうなんだけど・・・
でも、実際訳すの大変なんだろうな（笑）
大阪弁だけじゃなくて、東北弁とか名古屋弁とか博多弁とかも出ないかな。
