今はやりのテーマなので買ってみました。この分野の本はたくさんみか けますが、手に取ってみると内容は新鮮な感じがしました。結構辛口な 意見もあって、想像以上に読ませてくれました。 特に、二人の著者の対 談？対話？は、臨場感もあってよみやすかったです。わたしは「大切な 人の心を離さない本」など近藤さんの本をよく読みましたが、今回はいつもと違ってちょっと読みにくかったです。元気で分かりやすいイメー ジがなかったような気がします。若い方（太田さん）の文章はキレがあって好きです。太田さんと正反対の書き方だったらもっと良かったカモ。

　これは、様々な角度から、様々な読者に宛てて書かれた一冊である。あえて、明確な答えを提示していないのは、読者層を絞らないで安易な答えを出す本のスタイルでは、本書の主旨そのものに合わないからである。これは、日常様々な読者が抱えている疑問や問題意識のプラットフォームを形成するための自問の手引きなのである。　　
　テーマから言えば、健康あり、旅あり、社会論あり、映画や音楽への言及あり、そして心の問題からスピリチュアルティに対する考察あり、と欲張りな感もある。一貫しているのは、現代社会における死生観の意味を考察している点である。それが、この本の特徴であり、同時に役割である。
　近藤氏のパートについて言えば、すでに馴染みの深い読者が、今、この瞬間までの近藤裕を振り返り、総括し、思い出すダイジェストとしてそのメッセージに触れることができるだろう。一方、若い読者にとっては、太田塁による、トピックとテーマの連結の仕方が個性的かつ本質的で面白いだろうし、年配の読者には、若い書き手の死生観が、一つの関心となっているようである。
