5.0 out of 5 stars 忘れがたい「巨巌の顔」の要旨, 2005/4/29
　この本を読んで感じたのは、安岡正篤が唱える人間学の、入り口であり出口でもある本だ、ということだ。山の姿を確認してから山に入る。たちまち木々に目を奪われてしまう。山中を楽しんで山から出て振り返ると、山の姿がまた見える。なるほど、木々の様子を思いだしながら山を眺める。そんな感慨が湧く本である。他の本に繋がっていく内容である。最初に読むべきだった。
　特にホーソンの短編「巨巌の顔」の要旨は味わい深い。

安岡先生の著述の中では平明で分かりやすい本ですが、それだけに多くの方の心に染み渡りやすい本ではないかと思います。
私がこの本を求めたきっかけは、「とある有名な社長が20代の時に読んだ本として紹介していた」という不純な動機ではありました。
しかし、この本によって真剣に学び、反省し、生かすことの大切さを実感できました。
また、困難に対峙し如何に強く生きるか。「わが逆境は所詮その程度。」と楽観的になれる本だと思います。人生をど真剣に生きようと考えてらっしゃる20代の方は必読の名著です。

安藤先生の著書を読んでみなければ、と思いつつ、その難しそうなイメージからなかなか読むことがなかった。
初めて読む先生の本は易しいものでなければ、その後しばらく遠ざかりそうなので、なるべく平易（に見える）な内容の本を選んでみた。

この本は、昭和38年に日光で行われた青少年研修大会で先生が講演された内容を収めたもの。
非常にわかりやすい。
しかし、語っておられるその内容は非常に深い。
安藤先生みならず、昔の方は学校の先生も含めて、こうして物事の道理を説いておられたのだろう。
翻って現在はどうしてこうも己のことしか考えられない輩が増えてきたのか。
その一方で、若者の中にもまさに憂国の士が増えてきているような気もする。
日本が世界に凛として立ち続ける国家であって欲しいと、切に願う。
