　この本「大切な約束」は最初は興味だけで読み始めた。書き方はシンプルで文字数は少なめだが、非常に分かりやすかった。そのうえ二人しかいないメインの登場人物の感情が本当によく伝わった。
　家族のつながりや人とのつながりが希薄になってきている今の時代では、このような本は本当に心をうたれる。家族の大切さと何が自分を支えているのか。自分は何がしたく、何のために、誰のために頑張るのか。生きていくのか。そんなことを考えさせられた。
　読み終わった時”やるせない”という感情が残った。最後の2ページに書いてあるたったの4行が一番心に残った。”本当は聞きたかった言葉「よく頑張ったね」、本当は伝えたい言葉「ありがとう」”それがかなわなかった悲しみと、それを思うことができるようになった成功。とても悲しいハッピーエンディング。読んでよかった。人に読ませたいと思える本でした。

とてもすばらしい、両親に育てられましたね・・・そんなすばらしい両親に育てられたあいちゃん・・・歌にも声にも人柄にも伝わってきます。幼い頃から苦難を乗り越えてきて夢も実現にかなえられこれからも苦難は多々あると思います。でも乗り越えられますし・・・お母さんもずうっと見守ってくれてますよ・・・ますます川嶋あいさんを応援したくなりました。がんばってください。

帯に「25万人が泣いた！！」と書かれているけど。
ホントに泣けてくる話。一遍の詩のような物語。

実在する歌手の成功物語でもある。
たんたんと語られる様子は、プロジェクトＸの語りのようでもあったりする。
実名はレビューであげない方が良いのかな・・・？

色々なシーンが印象に残っているのだけど。
個人的に好きなのは。
「娘は、さっき広げたパンフレットをすべてゴミ箱に捨て、歩き始めた。　　　　　　　14歳の決意であった。　　(p40)」

一個人のノンフィクションという読み方でも良し。
普遍的な母と子の愛のストーリー。
そして夢を実現するために頑張っている全ての人に対する応援歌として読むのも良いかも。
