せっかく見つけた寝心地の良い枝なのに、次々とやってくる虫達に場所を譲ってあげる心やさしいクレリア。みんなが目覚めるとクレリアは消えちゃってた・・・。我が家の息子に読んであげると涙目で｢どこいったのよぉぉぉ・・・。｣と叫んでました。読み終わった後に、話の尽きなくなる本です｡

図書館で緑色の虫に目を引かれて借りたのですが、子供たちはすごく気に入りました。特に最後のたずね虫ポスターがお気に入りで、何度も広げては読んでいました。夜ベッドに入ってからも、「クレリアどこにいるのかなあ。また会えるかなあ。」と考えをめぐらせていました。

マイケル・グレイニエツの絵本は、はじめは図書館で「ちかみち」という絵本で出会いました。インパクトのある絵で、内容もそんなにいいとは思いませんでしたが、子供たちがとても気に入りました。
他の作品も子供たちはとても気にっています。大人にはわからない子供の心に響くものがあるのかなと思います。
そんな作品の中でもこの作品は、心があったまる作品だと思います。またポスターもついていて（どんなもポスターかは読んでのお楽しみですが）そのポスターを見てまた子供と楽しめる作品だと思います。
