前作同様とても読みやすく、心温まる本です。日韓の文化、習慣の違いがとても良く分かります。そして筆者の日韓関係に対する思い入れの深さもひそかに感じることができます。民間交流の盛んになった昨今。驚きながらも嬉しい気持ち、そしてそれに期待し応援する筆者の暖かさが伝わります。6年前から韓国好きになった私の「もっと韓国を知りたい」を満足させてくれる本です。巻末にある韓国の詩にも感動しました。韓国好きのかたもそうでない方にも、お勧め度ナンバーワンです。

5.0 out of 5 stars グローバルな視点(日韓交差点）で書かれたエッセイ, 2005/5/13
単なる「日本に住むの韓国人」のエッセイではない。両国の言語・文化の深い知識と理解に基づくグローバルな視点で書かれた本である。暮らし・男女観・伝統文化・食文化・教育・言語・歴史・市民文化交流・冬ソナ・ドラマ・映画、身近な話題から社会問題まで幅広い。ひときわ目を引くものが、文章の中に散りばめられた韓国語である。日本語と語順がそっくり、韓国語の60％以上が漢字語、ワリバシ・ウドン・オデン・ヨウジ・ザブトン・ワイロ・オヤブン等々、韓国語になってしまった日本語という話は目から鱗。韓国語は日本人が一番学び易い外国語であることを教えてくれる。

4.0 out of 5 stars カドイワシ（福島弁）＝ニシン（共通語）＝カド（韓国語）, 2005/5/8
一番驚いたのが、日本語の「のっぽ」はハングルでも「のっぽ」で背の高い人と言う意味とあったことだ。
私は、「数の子」が「カド（ハングルでニシン）の子」から来た言葉とは知っていたが、福島県ではニシンをカドイワシと呼んでいる。
日本のお琴１３弦で同じ音程の弦が２本あるが、その１本が欠けているのが１２弦の韓国のカヤグン。
神社の狛犬は高麗犬だし、韓国の民俗村の民家には「立春大吉」の札が貼ってあった。
この辺（福島県中通り地方・・他の地方は知らないので）では曹洞宗のお寺が「立春大吉」のお札を檀家に配布し、玄関に貼る。
この本を読んでいると祖先は共通という事が良く分かる。

私も「メッチュハナジュセヨ（ビール１本下さい）」以外のハングルを覚えなくっちゃー。
