花子2005の操作についてもっと詳しく知りたくて、この本を購入しました。花子についてのこういった本は不思議なくらいほとんど市場に出ていないものなので、内容をさっと覗いてみてまず珍しいことから買うことにしました。

内容的には、初めてドロー系や図面作成のソフトのユーザーに相応しいのですが、コラムには中級ユーザー向けの説明がいくつかあって、その上 One Pointのような挿絵入りの簡潔な解説もあり読みやすい内容だと思います。文章が少なく、ステップ毎に操作の説明があって、あまり読まなくても割と直ぐに基本操作を習得できます。

しかし、この本の足りないところは、題名のごとく「花子2005のすべて」とは言い難いところです。初歩的なところにウエイトを置き、いくつかの操作は飛ばされています。図形の変形関係の操作（拡大/縮小など）と花子フォトレタッチの大部分の操作がこの本に含まれておらず、残念な気がします。他形式でのデータ保存の説明も、かなり中途半端な気がしました。また、花子2005自体のヘルプ画面では、テクニック集があって数十点のおもしろい実例の解説から学べますが、それこそ本にしてほしいところです！最後に、「花子早わかり」のページは21枚分もありますが、カラーであっても何の意味もないと思いました。

花子2005のソフト自体は、使ってみてとても奥深いソフトだと思います。それなりの深さの解説書が世の中にあってほしいですね。この本を使って基本のところはいくつか習得できますが、本で基本操作を学んでからやはりヘルプ画面と花子のテクニック集を見た方が良いでしょう。そして本の題名が別だったら文句はありませんが、そもそも「花子2005のすべて」の「すべて」とまだまだ言えない程度の情報量と深みです。突っ込みが足りない。現状のレイアウトは結構スカスカなページがあるので、編集者にもう少し踏ん張ってもらって詳細情報を盛り込んでほしい一冊ですし、ページを増やしてもらいたいですね。
