「クリスタルバイブル」「クリスタル＆癒しの石」に続く、３冊目のジュディ・ホールの本。

おおざっぱに言えば、前２冊で取り上げた石を色別で分類し直して紹介している感じ。

内容は、「クリスタルバイブル」にはあって２作目「クリスタル＆癒しの石」ではなくなっていたため不便だった石の名前の綴りやチャクラへの対応の記述が整備されているが、石の説明そのものは幾分簡素になった。
前２作で間違っていた点は修正されたものもあるが、そのままのものもある。
※写真が、必ずしも特徴が現れているものではないこと、ハーキマーやエレスチャルの解釈に癖があるのは前２作と同じ。

一方で、「硬度」や「科学組成」「結晶系」など、一見専門的な項目が加わっているが、これがかなりあやしく、間違いや誤解を招く表記が多すぎる。
これを見て鉱物的にも内容が充実していると思わない方がよい。
鉱物的な情報を得たいならば、違う資料との併用を強くおすすめする。

石を色別に分けて紹介しているが、鉱物名（宝石名）と色別を冠した名前が重複していたり、無理矢理色名を付けて項目を増やしていたり、強引さが目立つ。
※ローズクォーツとローズクォーツのワンド（削って作った形）が別項目になっている。
※ガーネットをアルマンディンやグロッシュラーのように成分で分けているかと思えば、レッド・ガーネットのように色で分けていたりする。
※カーネリアンのほかレッド・アゲート、ピンク・カーネリアンという変な項目もある（カーネリアンは赤いカルセドニーの別名）。

大きく、重く、高額な本なので、前２作を持っていれば、あえて買う必要はないかもしれない。

かなりの大型本で、手に取るとずっしり重いが、
今まであまり語られることの無かった希少なクリスタル
のことも、書いてある、さすが百科事典である。
写真画像も美しく、色ごとの分類も楽しめる。
ジュディ・ホールのクリスタルに関する本全てに
いえるが、石の効用を正しくリーディングできる
研究者は、相性もあるだろうけど、少ない気がする。
私にとっては、確かに身につけて効用が感じられた
こともあり、書かれていることの信憑性を確証を
もって感じる。

届いた時本の大きさと重さにびっくりしました(^_^;) 同著者のクリスタルバイブルも持ってるんですけど、こちらの方が成分やらいろいろと詳しく載ってるので好きです。 持ち運びはできないですけど。買って良かったです♪
