妊娠中の薬剤の安全性は、結局よくわかっていないものが多く、薬の添付文書をみても、「有益のみ投与」などと書かれていて、結局どれくらい危険性があるのかよくわからないことがほとんどです。
この本は、代表的な薬剤に関して、妊娠の時期によってどの程度危険なのかを点数表示してくれているので、家内の妊娠中、ある程度は危険性を理解したうえで内服するか、あるいはやめておくかの判断の手助けとなりました。
