京都の時代祭で使われた装束を身にまとった人間が全身で写っています。人間によっては後ろ姿や横向き姿もあります。髪型もちゃんと結ってあり、手に扇を持っている場合もあります。服飾の勉強をしている方、和風のイラストを描く方にはもってこいです。

これは京都書院さんからかつて発売されたシリーズの復刻版です。そのシリーズは全ページカラーでしたので、この本も全ページカラーで仕上がっています。重宝しています。

奈良時代の宮女姿の写真が、着こなしも髪型も色々で８点強も載っているので購入しました。
（正面だけでなく横、後ろ、もあるし）
漫画「天上の虹」や「眉月の誓」が好きな者としては嬉しい限りです。

イラストとかで、ずっーと疑問だった背子（からぎぬ）の胸前に垂れてある紐は
どーなってるんだ？！（背子に縫い付けてあるのか？）も、この本の解説で
解決しました。（背子の下の衣（着物）の結んだ紐を前に出して垂らしてるんだそうで）
天女の羽衣みたいに描かれる領布（ひれ）も、細ながーい不透明な単の布を
ショールみたいに肩に掛けてたということも再現の写真で分かりました。

平安以降の再現装束の本って他でも見ますが、奈良古墳時代のものとなると
これだけ写真が載ってるものは、なかなか無いのでは？（あったら教えてくださ〜い　＾＾；）

昭和五十九年五月二十六日開催。宮崎友禅　生誕三百三十年の記念行事における「染織まつり」歴代女性風俗行列の記録図版、の改訂版。

埴輪の昔より江戸中期までの女性の佇まいを、フルカラーで見ることが出来る。
絵画などから復元された衣装の数々は、本当に素晴らしいと思う。行列は時系列に添ったものなので、髪型や衣装風俗の変遷をも視ることが出来て、とても興味深い。
一件につき複数の写真があるので、色形や着付や飾り方も良くわかる。

残念なのは、江戸後期から明治・大正・昭和が載っていないこと。
あの「ユルさ」が、現代の「キッチリ」に何故なるのか。知りたいと思う。

本を眺めていると、実際に「染織まつり」を観てみたくなりますね。
もう、開催されないのかな？
