私達の身近なハーブ。このハーブの魅力や神秘、伝説や習慣等が書かれもちろん花言葉やそのハーブにあった料理や化粧水等‥大人向けなハーブの絵本？のようにハーブ好きな方ならちょっと知っていると同じ育ててもまた違ったハーブの魅力にはまってしまいます。

たとえばバジルなんかは窓際に置くと恋人の訪れを待つ印！何故？って思った方は続きは是非この本を読んで見てください。（笑）
ハーブの伝説や神秘万歳でこれを読んだら思わずハーブに語りかけてしまいそうになってしまう１冊かも。
ただガーデニング用にと考えている方はちょっとこの本は違うかな･･･。

ハーブのある生活というものも、いつの間にか「実用や効能」といった言葉ばかりにとらわれがちに。
それはそれで悪い事では無いのですが、いろいろなプラスアルファがあってこそのハーブ。
初めの頃に感じたちょっとロマンチックだったり、ちょっと神秘的だったりという、
プラスアルファの部分をすっかり忘れてしまっていた時に、この本と出会いました。
比較的、誰でも知っている25種のハーブにまつわる伝説や風習などが紹介されています。
「レシピ」なども載ってはいますが、そこそこ知識のある方以外には、読み物としてという事になりそうなレシピです。
写真や本の作りもとっても綺麗で、「実用」だけでは無い、ハーブの魅力を思い出させ、
もうひとつの力を与えてもらえたように感じています。

表紙の美しさにほれ込み即購入。
伝説や神話、歴史といったものに興味がある人におすすめ。
また、ヴィジュアル的にもグッド。
