※男性と女性ではこの書の読み方が若干ことなるだろうから、僕が男性であるということを前もって述べておく。

面白い。この書を読み了えたとき、ペニスは単なる快楽の道具ではなく、芸術や文学といった所謂人文科学の発展において大いに貢献していることにも気づかされる。執筆者が精神科医と泌尿器科医ということもあってか、医学的考察も詳細にわたり参考になる。
あと、ミケランジェロの彫刻作品「ダビデ像」のペニスがなぜ小さいのかについての考察が面白かった。理由は、本書を読んでのお楽しみに！

きわめて興味深い書物です。

著者がフランス人であるため、田県神社の祭礼など我が国のファリシスムの伝統に無知なことは否めませんが、それを差し引いても優れた良書としてお奨め出来ます。世界各地の陽根崇拝や割礼の習慣、去勢、男色的イニシエーション等々、なかなか面白いトピックが目白押しで、飽きることがありません。

ペニスにまつわる古今東西のトピック満載。著者は精神科医と泌尿器科医。信じられない事実がとても冷静な視点で語られています。古代から行われてきたペニスへの人為的な加工や装飾、そのバリエーションの数々。写真や絵なども豊富に載せられていて、見ているだけでも飽きることがありません。面白すぎます！
