浅田次郎さんと言えば、"泣かせの神様"と評されていますが、"笑わせの神様"とも言えるかもしれません。"ぽっぽや"や"天国までの百マイル"で浅田次郎さんを知り、しみじみした方に、この本を読むことをお奨め致します。"これを書いたのがあの浅田次郎?"と、今まで持っていた"泣かせの神様"というイメージが壊れるかもしれませんが、この手の本で、デビューしたのが浅田次郎さんです。
どんなジャンルの本をも書ける浅田次郎さんの底知れぬ力に感服する一冊です。この本に書かれている内容は、作家になるため、生活の糧を得るために過ごして来た生活そのものであり、その隙間隙間に、作家になるため、どれほどの執念を持っていたのかもを知ることが出来る貴重な一冊だ

理屈抜きに面白いです。実際の体験が書かれていることが要因でしょうか。実際に書けないこともかなりあるようで伏字をしたりしながら、その世界の日常が分かりやすく描かれています。学生時代にいた不良生徒の体験記を聞いているような感じがしました。自分にはできそうもないし非常識この上ないのですが、それなりの理屈が通っており、生き生きしていて妙に羨ましい感じがしたりします。浅田次郎のファンの方には、小説の元ネタともいえそうなエピソードが沢山出てきますのでこれも楽しみの一つでしょう。浅田ファンにはお勧めです。

著者が自衛隊を卒業した後の２０代の出来事を綴った本です。ご存知の方も多いように、著者の２０代はアウトロー時代、要は詐欺や取り立てといった悪行を尽くしていた時代であり、その具体的手口を含め、悪行の数々が赤裸々に綴られています。ただ、それらの手口があまりにも鮮やかな為、悪行と知りつつ、ここまで鮮やかにされると、痛快な気分になってしまいます。また、著者の「きんぴか」シリーズファンには、主人公の１人である「ぴすけん」のモデルとなったであろう、その名もずばり「ぴすけん」が登場するのも興味深いと思います。
著者の作品は笑わせ、そして泣かせるというパターンのものが多いのですが、この本は最初から最後まで面白く読める本です。
