進学校の熱血教師で、住職でもあった先生が急死してしまった原因は、
その激務にありました。
出版より１０年が経過した現在においても教育現場全体として労働条件はより厳しい状況に追いやられつつあります。
例え、死亡した後に過労死と認定されたところで、命が帰ってくるわけではありません。

その大本である条件改善に全力を尽くすことが大林先生をはじめとする
過労死してしまった教師の方への最大の弔いです。
教育関係者、必見の名著です。
